How to effectively disinfect fresh fruits and vegetables?

The catering industry also frequently uses sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) tablets to comply with HACCP guidelines, which require all fresh fruits and vegetables to be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable disinfectant before preparation. NaDCC tablets are suitable for washing salads, vegetables and unpeeled fruits. At the same time, NaDCC will not affect the taste and appearance of food.

Of course, disinfection of food-making surfaces and equipment is equally important. Based on sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) is recognized as an effective, highly convenient and safe food disinfectant. NaDCC tablets can also be used in various food service disinfection applications, including floors, surfaces, tiles, etc. In the UK, 76% of the fresh produce industry uses chlorine to wash organic produce.

Independent tests conducted by accredited laboratories and universities have evaluated the effectiveness of NaDCC, and in controlled studies using fresh fruits and vegetables, it has been proven that they can reduce or eliminate pathogens to harmless levels in many cases. Through spoilage testing, shelf life and sensory studies, it can also improve the storage life of fresh produce.
