Step 1 – prepare the solution

First, decide your application and check with the Dilution Chart. The best way to prepare the solution is to use a diluter. After diluted to appropriate concentration, pour the solution to the applicator, such as sprayer, basin or bucket for use. The remaining solution can be stored in the tightly closed diluter for later use. If you are using a sprayer, you can prepare and store the solution at the same time. Just make sure that the sprayer is always tightly closed. In such way, you have a NaDCC sprayer with enough efficacy for up week.

The most common usage is General Disinfection, So, 1,000 ppm concentration is what you are looking for. If you are using Haz-Tabs 2.5g NaDCC tablets, drop 1 tablet into 1.5 L of water. If you are using Brulin 6S 3.3g NaDCC tablets, drop 1 tablet into 1 L of water.

Step 2 – apply the solution

After preparing the NaDCC solution of appropriate strength, you can apply to the areas that need disinfection. NaDCC solution is slightly acidic (pH 6.5, almost neutral) and the chances of corrosion and damage to surface and fabric is very minimal. However, if you are applying the solution to any type of clothes, please test it on a small hidden area first for discolouring. The most common usage are:

  • Spraying
    • spray on shoes, clothes, door mat, door handle, interior of vehicle, etc
  • Wiping
    • wipe clean the elevator buttons, handles, dining table, desk, sofa and other furnitures
  • Soaking
    • soak clean and deodorise dishcloth, mop, etc.
  • Mopping
    • mop the floor

Step 3 -air dry

In most cases, leaving the disinfected areas to air dry is recommended since NaDCC residues on the the surface continue to kill germs for up to 24 hours. However, for areas that people frequently touched, such as elevator buttons, you’ll have to apply more often due to wearing off.

If you are using NaDCC in hospitals, clinics, veterinary clinics, laboratories, or other institution, please follow their disinfection protocols strictly.
